Job Description
- Set up and adjust assembly line machinery and equipment to prepare for production runs or accommodate changes in product specifications
- Perform machine adjustments and calibrations to ensure optimal performance and product quality
- Monitor machine performance and production output, identifying any deviations or abnormalities in operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic issues with assembly line machinery, diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective actions
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery to ensure reliability and minimise downtime
- Perform repairs and adjustments to machinery as needed to address malfunctions and maintain continuous operation
- Provide support and assistance to production assistants when their production lines are down, helping to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with production assistants to resolve problems and minimise disruptions to production schedules
- Identify and address any quality issues or defects in the production process, escalating issues as necessary
- Adhere to safety protocol and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the assembly area by following 5S principles and housekeeping standards
- Complete production logs, machine maintenance records and other documentation accurately and timely
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards or quality issues to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly
- Work collaboratively with other technicians, operators and supervisors to achieve production goals and resolve operational issues
- To plan the efficient utilisation of own work time to carry out the above listed duties of the designation and other where applicable, as well as any other specific instructions or assignments given by superior from time to time, in respect of matters related.
REQUIREMENTS:
Nitec / Higher Nitec in Mechanical Engineering
Able to work 3 rotating shifts (monthly shift rotation basis)
Morning: 7am – 3pm
Afternoon: 3pm – 11pm
Night: 11pm – 7am
