Job Description

Responsibilities:

To improve manufacturing methods and maintain assembly systems

Duties:

  • Operate and monitor machinery on the assembly line to ensure smooth operation
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks on machinery as needed
  • Identify and address any issues with machine operation
  • Utilise mechanical and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair production machines
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance
  • Address electrical issues as they arise to minimise downtime
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify areas for improvement in quality, productivity and cost reduction
  • Develop and implement modifications to equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and performance
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes and practices to identify opportunities for optimisation
  • Provide training to operators on the operation and maintenance of automated equipment as needed
  • Conduct kerosene washing to remove contaminants from ball bearings, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to quality standards

Required skills

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
